Request for Proposals:
Reducing Fatalities from Workplace Violence
*Please note: Deadlines have been extended and are correct below.*
The McElhattan Foundation, a private grantmaking foundation in Pittsburgh, is accepting applications for grants in its workplace safety program area. Proposals should focus on reducing fatal workplace violence.
Proposals may address workplace violence in general or address a particular type of violence, a particular industry, or a particular type of workplace setting (e.g., retail, offices, schools, etc.). We encourage innovative thinking.
Of particular interest to us:
- Interdisciplinary approaches
- Projects that utilize emerging technology
- Solutions that can be implemented at low or no cost to employers
We are looking for projects with a duration of three years and a total budget of up to $500,000.
We will not fund proposals seeking funding for anti-workplace violence training or technology for a single nonprofit organization. We are seeking proposals with significantly larger vision and scope.
Any U.S.-based organization with 501(c)3 status may apply. Please note that the McElhattan Foundation allows up to 10% overhead.
Letters of Inquiry may be submitted through our website, www.mcelhattan.org, by June 30, 2022. If you are invited to submit a full application, it will be due August 31, 2022. Decisions will be made in November 2022, and the first payment will go out before December 31, 2022.
