How to Apply for a Grant
Application Process
McElhattan Foundation accepts proposals on a rolling basis.
Inquiry
Review our Program Guidelines and determine your eligibility
If eligible, complete our Request for Information (RFI) Questionnaire
Foundation staff will review the RFI and contact you
Invitation
Foundation staff develop a recommendation for the Board
Recommendations are voted on by the Board on a rolling basis
If invited, submit your Full Proposal via the grant portal
Foundation staff review Full Proposal & may request additional information
Foundation conducts a Site Visit
(in-person or virtual)
Recommendation
Decision
Staff notify applicants of the Board’s decision
Applicants complete a Grant Agreement via the grant portal
Funding is distributed to successful applicants following the Board’s decision
